What is it?

Digital XR™ is designed to simplify and improve the production of one-way vision window graphics for promotion, display, privacy and corporate identity applications. The full colour printed graphic is vibrant and highly visible on the viewing side and provides a clear tinted outlook from the other side.

This new and innovative material offers substantial performance and environmental benefits compared to traditional perforated films. The polyester based film can be imaged at high resolution, requires no lamination* for external (non-abrasive) applications, and is simpler to process, clean and finally remove. And, as there are no perforations to collect dust, dirt or moisture, the overall performance and visual impact are greatly enhanced.

Digital XR™ can be printed using a conventional eco-solvent digital ink-jet printer and then ‘lines of print’ are removed through a simple laminator based process. This stripping process leaves the printed image layers in exact registration and provides the necessary see-through areas.

All that is required to achieve perfect results is a printer, a suitable cold laminator and a box of Digital XR™ which contains a roll of printable base film and removal tape.

Contra Vision® Digital XR™ was jointly invented and developed by Madico Graphic Films and Contra Vision, it is protected by international patents or patents pending including PCT/IB2007/002324, all licensed from the Contra Vision group of companies.

*If the film is exposed to very high levels of abrasion or the life requirements of the product need extending, lamination is required.
