Design
- Image sizing more »
Small typefaces and fine detail are not recommended as too much detail can be removed during the print removal process. Consider big bold images and large font sizes when designing graphics.
- The use of colour more »
Light and bright colours provide excellent contrast of the applied graphic as the eye will focus on the colour. The use of large areas of dark colour should be avoided as the eye will see through the graphic i.e. if you print a large area of black on the film surface the product will become see-through from both sides.
- Contrast more »
As part of the image is removed during the stripping process, the applied image will appear less vibrant and darker against a relatively dark background, as with perforated materials. Compensation can be achieved by increasing the contrast of the file by say 15-20%.
- Lighting more »
As with all one-way vision films, in order to maintain good visibility of the applied graphic a lighting bias is required. A stronger light is always required on the printed image side. If the reverse side of the image receives too much light the printed graphic will become less visible and the background will be visible. In some environments it may be deemed viable to add supplementary lighting to the front of the printed graphic.
